Flat roofs in Worthing

Flat roofs in Worthing.

Flat-roofed dormers on chalet bungalows, garages and rear extensions are everywhere in Worthing, and old felt on them blisters and splits with age. Water then gets into the deck and the ceiling below.

We replace them in EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass or felt, replacing the deck where it's gone soft, and fit rooflights if you'd like more light. Dormer cheeks and edges get the same attention as the main roof.

Our roof was in a terrible state - 25 years of patches and cheap repairs. Paul picked up my call straight away and was very clear about what they offered and what price ranges would be involved. … The end-result was great.

Goldhawk Roofing were reliable, responsive, prompt, tidy and friendly. … The guys did a complete survey providing photos so we could see the problem that needed repairing. So a good experience and happy to recommend.

Paul’s communication throughout the process was excellent. Him and his team worked quickly and efficiently removing our whole roof and replacing it. All the guttering, chimneys and flat roofs were also made good. Overall we would highly recommend Goldhawk Roofing!!

Good to know

Flat roofs in Worthing: questions

Which is better, EPDM or GRP fibreglass?

Both are long-lasting. EPDM is a single rubber sheet that suits most extensions and garages; GRP gives a hard, seamless finish that's better if you'll walk on the roof, like a balcony. We'll recommend what suits your roof when we come out.

Can you fit rooflights in a new flat roof?

Yes. We fit rooflights and skylights as part of the new roof, with properly formed upstands so they stay watertight.

Can my flat roof be repaired rather than replaced?

Often, yes. If the problem is local and the deck is sound, a repair may be all you need. If the roof is failing across the whole surface, we'll show you why a replacement makes more sense.
